“I first joined this amazing gym almost 15 years ago. In recent years it has been rebranded as Active Life Fitness after being taken over by new owners. The new management are approachable and always open to suggestions & genuinely interested in member’s opinions. It is now better than ever!! The gym floor has had a face lift and a gorgeous Yoga & Pilates studio has been installed.”

When I originally joined, I just wanted to get moving and found a love of Body Balance classes. Even to this day, Body Balance is still my favourite class and the one that I never miss. My aim has been to become the fittest, strongest, happiest version of myself. I feel like the large range of classes available, with passionate and enthusiastic instructors who keep routines varied and up to date, coupled with a vast range of equipment, has allowed me to do that.

In addition, I am having weekly Personal Training sessions with Todd. I never thought PT would be my thing, but Todd’s calm & friendly nature makes me feel so comfortable. I love that he pushes me further than I would ever go on my own. He listens and understands what I need out of each session and constantly encourages and challenges me with new exercises

The friendly Staff at Active Life Fitness are welcoming, helpful and always greet me with a smile, creating a warm and supportive environment. It may sound cliché, but Active Life Fitness really is my happy place ????

The staff and members connect personally; this makes the gym a social club where like minded people exercise in a supportive & enjoyable way. “It took months to choose a new gym when I moved to Brisbane; I know that the gym you commit to will have a direct impact on how often you use it.  Active Life Everton Hills came highly recommended to me from a work colleague, so I came for a visit.  Immediately, I was impressed with their class schedule.  I love group fitness classes, and they had more variety (in times, days and styles) than any other gym I have been a member of.

The gym equipment was extensive and well maintained, and their cardio equipment is brand new! The staff and instructors were amazing from the start. I appreciated during my visit how they knew the members by name, and since, they have become a consistent high point to my day’s interactions.

Since joining, I only became more impressed. Initially, when taking their yoga classes, I couldn’t believe they were included with membership – they were studio quality! The 24-hour gym is perfect for when you need a public holiday workout, and the sauna …… where have you been all my life?!?

I cannot mention all the perks here, nor can I speak highly enough of Active Life Everton Hills and the team. It has been a wonderful commitment for my health and sense of well-being, and I would encourage anyone reading this to come and see for yourselves.

“I have been training with Mary for approximately 6 years now, and love going to my PT sessions each week. It’s never boring with same old, same old exercises; she mixes it up to make every training session interesting and for me, that’s great, as I get bored easily! I enjoy a challenge, so there are challenges thrown in as well without pushing me to do something I am not capable of.”

“Mary is very knowledgable and is always able to answer any questions I have about the workouts or the benefits of the exercise I’m doing. Due to Mary’s expert training sessions, I have become very fit and have build good muscle for someone of my age (72). She gives you her undivided attention throughout the sessions, value for money, and a variety of exercises. She is constantly checking if your technique is correct to eliminate any risk of injury.

I love my sessions with Mary; they are fun (we have some laughs), and serious (we don’t waste time chatting constantly) at the same time. Mary lets you work at your own pace, and builds your fitness level to match your ability. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to get seriously fit, build muscle, and core strength.”
