Pilates North Brisbane classes are suitable for beginners through advanced, and are designed to improve core stability and posture, tone your abs, obliques, lower back, thighs and glutes. Repetitive series of gentle floor-based exercises start out feeling easy, and become more intense as you continue to repeat them.

Pilates is an integrated mind-body-spirit approach that works on six basic principles – centre, concentration, control, precision, breathing and flow. Pilates is often a recommended routine for rehabilitation from injury, to improve muscle imbalances and joint instabilities. Postpartum women often benefit from Pilates to restabilise their abdominal wall. Pilates may look easy but will challenge the fittest and strongest of us.

The goal of each Pilates North Brisbane Class at Active Life Fitness Everton Hills is to help you strengthen and isolate the right muscles and connect the movements to your breathing. Once you know the basics and are ready for a greater challenge, your instructor will provide modifications and include small apparatus to make your muscles burn!
